Ties Jansen - plays Bruno


Ties Jansen is a Dutch-American actor, director, dramaturg and writer who has worked extensively on- and off-stage in both America and Europe. NYC stage credits include Welcome to the Wood: A Midsummer Night's Dream , I Do Believe In Fairies , and This Is Our Youth . For QETC he has played Herr Schultz in CABARET and Francis in La Cage aux Folles. Other Amsterdam credits include playing Billy Flynn in Chicago,  Chip Tolentino in ...Spelling Bee  and Rich in the Netherlands debut production of Be More Chill.  Ties has also toured with Zin in Zappelin Live (Bazar Media Productions). Training: BFA Acting (Minor in Film Studies) at Pace University School of Performing Arts (NYC).



Rodney Giano - plays Alex

Rodney is a Dutch actor and singer/performer of Surinamese origin. He has worked in theatre, film and as a teacher. For QETC he played Victor in CABARET and a Cagelle  La Cage aux Folles.  Earlier  productions/roles include The Chosen One, (The Hague, Jan van Opstal and Hildegard Draaier), Moritz Stiefel in Spring Awakening (Rotterdam, Cormack Burmania), Masetto in Mozart's Don Giovanni (Rotterdam, Carla van Driel) Nachtparade (Stopera Amsterdam, Marjan Barlage and Sassan Saghar Yaghmai), and Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake (Rotterdam, Carla van Driel), Marieke van Nimwegen, (Maastricht, Aram Adriaanse).

Guillem Clua - Author

GUILLEM CLUA (Barcelona, 1973) is one of Spain's best-known international authors.His most important pieces, La pell en flames, Smiley: una història d’amor and L’oreneta, have been translated into numerous languages and performed worldwide. He has also written major epic dramas (Marburg, Gust de cendra, Invasión), political farces (Al damunt dels nostres cants, La terra promesa), musicals (Killer, 73 raons per deixar-te) and adaptations of classics like Death in Venice. His most recent stage works are Justícia (National Prize for Dramatic Literature 2020) and Smiley, which has become a worldwide phenomenon in the form of the television series for Netflix.

Mark Winstanley - Director


Mark's acting and directing career began as a child, training with Manchester Youth Theatre and LAMDA. FILM: In 2024 he filmed the first two episodes of Bookish, written by and starring Mark Gatiss. He was lead voice actor and dialect coach on the NETFLIX feature film The Forgotten Battle (Slag om de Schelde). He appeared in the VPRO  drama series about the IRA , The Spectacular as a BBC journalist. THEATRE: A founder of QETC, his roles include leads in La Cage aux Folles , Talking Heads, Scary Bikers and The 39 Steps. He reprised this last role and directed its revival, gaining top reviews.  In autumn 2022 he achieved a 40 year ambition, directing QETC’s 20th Anniversary production of the musical Cabaret. The show was a big success with audiences and critics alike. He has directed many times for QETC, including their modern, gay adaptation of The Importance of Being Earnest
