Pillow Talk

by Peter Tolan
Directed by Ben Evans

Producer - Mark Winstanley

This production has been postponed until further notice.

Two straight men, forced to share a bed.  Is physical intimacy in 2020 still taboo for hetero men? Or will Aaron and Doug’s road-trip lead to unexpected (b)romance.  This contemporary comedy examines their neuroses and bravado with comic and moving results. When the clothes come off at bedtime, it's not just their choice of boxers that’s revealed!

Pillow Talk is produced in association with Downstage Left as part of the Talking Beds double bill.

A Chip in the Sugar

by Alan Bennett

Directed by Loveday Smith

This production has been postponed until further notice.

QETC director Mark Winstanley plays gay but in the closet Graham. Middle-aged Graham still lives at home with his mam but their mundane lives are threatened when her old-flame appears on the scene. Tragically poignant and wonderfully uplifting, dark comedy abounds in Bennett’s observation of loneliness and unfulfilled sexual desire.

A Chip in the Sugar is one of the original Talking Heads series that first aired on BBC TV and was nominated for no fewer than 11 BAFTA awards. They have had successful runs in the West End and Broadway and are studied for GCSE and A-level English Literature.

A Chip in the Sugar is presented as part of the Talking Beds double bill.
