Student Placement/Internship/Stage (This vacancy is now filled for 2012)
In 2009 QETC was able to offer a student placement working on the publicity and marketing of The History Boys. We now want to make a similar appointment to help with our forthcoming production of Talking Heads. This post might be suitable for a student resident in the Netherlands or in the UK but you do ideally need to speak both English and Dutch. The work could potentially be part of a formal course requirement or it could be an informal placement to help you gain experience. Possibly it could also be of interest to someone who is not a registered student.

The work could include:
Writing publicity material
Production and distribution of posters and flyers
Liaising with the media
Finding new publicity outlets
Ensuring that the production is visible in all potential listings
Ensuring that information about the production is always accurate
Liaising with potential sponsors
Promoting the production in face to face situations
Organising group bookings
Administrative support to QETC's Artistic Director and Business Manager

We are looking for:
A reliable person who is willing to work hard
A clear and persuasive communicator, preferably in both English and Dutch. (Obviously the balance between these two languages will depend on your background and we would not expect complete fluency - written and spoken - in both languages.
Good organising skills
Attention to detail
Perseverance
Reasonable competence in using IT - especially MS Word, Excel and the Internet
Willingness to take direction whilst also using initiative
A strong interest in theatre
